Meet the Team

Patty Woods, MSN, FNP-BC
Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Patty’s passion for caring for others began long before she opened Anchored Family Practice. After walking through the difficult journey of caring for her son through serious illness, she experienced firsthand the difference compassionate healthcare can make. His care team treated him as more than a diagnosis. They saw him as a boy with a love for life, and that experience forever shaped how Patty approaches caring for people.
That journey gave her a deep desire to serve others the same way her family had been served. Today, she brings that same compassion and understanding to every patient she sees.
Patty believes healthcare should treat the whole person, not just symptoms. Her approach focuses on listening carefully, meeting patients where they are, and working together to create a plan that helps them move toward better health. She partners closely with patients and families so they feel informed, respected, and supported in every decision about their care.
Her experience has also shown her how important strong primary care can be in helping people stay healthy and avoid unnecessary medical crises. By building relationships with her patients and focusing on prevention, Patty helps individuals and families take practical steps toward long term wellness.
Outside the clinic, Patty enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and their energetic goldendoodles. She and her husband are active in their church community, and you may even see him around the clinic from time to time.

Mikyah Owens, RDN
Registered Dietician
Healthy change rarely happens through extreme diets or quick fixes. Many people feel overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice and frustrated by plans that are impossible to maintain. That is why our registered dietitian focuses on helping patients make realistic, sustainable changes that lead to lasting health.
Her approach challenges the idea that you must completely overhaul your life to improve your nutrition. Instead, she works with patients to make small, achievable changes that build momentum over time. Rather than eliminating entire food groups or following restrictive trends, she helps patients learn how balance, moderation, and practical habits can lead to real progress.
This approach helps patients create a healthier relationship with food while still enjoying life. The goal is not perfection. The goal is steady improvement that supports long term wellness.
She is especially passionate about seeing real transformation in the people she works with. Whether helping someone manage a medical condition, improve their energy, or simply feel better day to day, she walks alongside patients as they build habits that truly last.
The journey to better health is not always quick or glamorous, but with the right support and guidance, it is absolutely achievable.
Outside of her work with patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their boys, and their energetic pup while staying connected to and serving her community.

Darrell Woods
Medical Assistant
Darrell gained his medical experience through 26-years in the fire service. Now after retiring, he is back to join the team as our favorite volunteer bringing patients to the room, obtaining vitals and keeping us on our toes. Many patients will recognize Darrell from a previous clinic where he worked and have been asking about him. He is back and looking forward to helping care for patients!
