Patty Woods, MSN, FNP-BC
Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
I am both ANCC and AANP board certified family nurse practitioner. My passion for nursing began after 15 years of caring for our son and experiencing first hand the excellent care he received by his care team prior to his passing at age 15 years. His care team saw him as more than a patient, but as a boy with passion for life. After his passing, and motivated by his doctors and a deep desire to honor our son and use what I learned, I returned to school to pursue a nursing degree.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Nursing from Boise State University prior to graduating from the University of St. Augustine with a Master’s in Health Sciences. My nursing experience has included working in a variety of emergency departments throughout Eastern Washington and most recently in Family Medicine Clinics in Northern Idaho. While working in the emergency room setting I saw a need for consistent primary care for patients to help prevent unnecessary emergency room visits for ailments that could be addressed through their primary care provider's office. That motivated me to pursue a higher education.
My approach to primary care focuses on the whole person and partnering with patients to assist them meeting their individual health goals. My experience has taught me the importance of Family Centered Care, not just as fancy words, but a way to partner in care to improve outcomes. Family Centered Care includes the following: Respect and Dignity, Information Sharing, Participation and Collaboration. In simple terms, meeting patients where they are, listening well, providing complete information and treatment options and respecting their decision making.
I met my husband while working as an EMT and we have been married for over 35 years. We are active in our church where you might run into us. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, grandchildren, and our crazy goldendoodles. You might meet my husband at the clinic!
Mikyah Owens, RDN
Registered Dietician

I've always been one that sees normalcy as something to be challenged and innovation as something to be fostered. When it comes to nutrition, my stance is the same. I'm not into the normal "crash diets" that most people turn to in hopes of getting "healthy." However, I am for making small, achievable changes to your life that will set you on a path to better overall health. I'm not about cutting out major food groups (unless it's necessary for your specific condition) but believe that moderation is the key to success- even if that means an occasional piece of dark chocolate with breakfast.
I graduated from University of Idaho with a B.S. in Nutrition/Dietetics. I completed my clinical dietetic internship at the largest and one of the most influential hospitals in the area. I have a wide background in community nutrition and have worked with both youth and adults to create healthy lifestyle changes. Additionally, I've implemented nutrition programs throughout the community to provide nutrition education to underprivileged youth. Currently, I furthered developed my clinical experience by working at Spokane Shriner's Hospital as a clinical dietitian and continue to invest in the community by working with BarreU, a local fitness studio, as an independent contracted dietitian. One of my biggest passions is to see real life, positive change in the people I work with. That's why I decided to start Honest Nutrition. The process to health isn't always glamorous or quick, but it's so worth it, and it's my mission to help you see that.
Outside the office, my home life is happy. I'm married to a man who's hardly human, have amazing boys and a pup, and a drive to love my community as I was first loved.

Darrell Woods
Darrell gained his medical experience through 26-years in the fire service. Now after retiring, he is back to join the team as our favorite volunteer bringing patients to the room, obtaining vitals and keeping us on our toes. Many patients will recognize Darrell from a previous clinic where he worked and have been asking about him. He is back and looking forward to helping care for patients!
